Axlio hires selectively. Practitioners who value independence, plain English, and doing compliance work that actually improves the organisations we serve.
Axlio is a small independent consultancy based in Dublin. We hire slowly and selectively, because the model only works if every consultant our clients meet is genuinely senior and comfortable owning the engagement end to end.
What we look for
- Practitioner experience. Time spent inside an organisation running, being audited on, or auditing a management system, not only implementing checklists as a consultant.
- Independence of thought. The willingness to say “you do not need that” as often as “you do.” Comfort saying no to work that will not durably improve the client.
- Standards depth. Genuine familiarity with at least one of ISO 27001, 22301, 27701, 42001, 9001, GDPR, NIS2, or the EU AI Act. Curiosity to build depth across the rest over time.
- Writing. A lot of consultancy work is written. Clear, plain, unfussy prose matters here.
- Client presence. The engagements we run place the consultant directly in front of leadership. That has to be a comfortable place to sit.
What we do not look for
- Time in a Big Four practice as a proxy for quality.
- Preference for documentation over reality.
- A tendency to answer every problem with a purchase.
